The Cleveland Browns’ Josh Cribbs is once again showing support for his alma mater by arranging a bus to take football fans to the Mid-American Conference Championship game Friday.

“TeamCribbsBus” is taking Kent State fans to Detroit to watch the team compete for the MAC championship against Northern Illinois.

According to a press release on teamcribbs.com, there are 46 seats available to people age 21 and older on the bus for $80 per person. This price includes the bus fare, an original t-shirt to commemorate the game, a game ticket (all seats are in sections 104 and 105 at Ford Field), beverages and snacks.

“We are leaving Friday morning at about 11 a.m. so everyone has time to enjoy themselves in Detroit via tailgating, bars, dinner or the casino,” said Lisa Hahner, founder of TeamCribbs.

Cribbs took Kent State fans on a bus to Omaha, Neb., in June to support the team in the College World Series. Some fans who attended that trip said they plan to support Kent State again on the road to Detroit.

“The bus to Omaha was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made,” said Caryn Evans, senior accounting major. “The trip to Omaha was super fun because we were amped up from meeting Josh Cribbs and the thought of our Flashes getting the national attention they so rightly deserved.”

Kent State fan Christopher Meluch called the bus trip to Omaha “surreal.”

“Kent State being in their first College World Series was a proud moment for our school and the TeamCribbsBus allowed a group of us to share in the experience,” Meluch said. “In regards to Detroit, I’m looking forward to another amazing experience, and most importantly a win for KSU football.”

Evans said she is looking forward to taking her second trip on the Cribbs bus.

“I am so excited to travel to Detroit to see our Flashes take down Northern Illinois in the MAC Championship game,” Evans said. “It’s seriously going to be a blast regardless of the outcome — although we’re totally going to win.”

Those who paid for a seat on the bus should have received email instructions for the trip earlier this week, Hahner said. The bus is scheduled to leave Cleveland at 11 a.m. Friday and return after the game.
