Art gallery reception honors student work

More than 30 paintings, ceramics, sculptures and other works will decorate the Art Building Thursday for the School of Art Gallery reception to celebrate the work of the Kent State Master of Fine Arts students.

Anderson Turner, director of art galleries, organized the event with the help of graduate assistants Brenton Pahl and Kathryn Shinko.

Shinko said that the event is open to the public and that students interested in art are encouraged to attend.

“All students are welcome,” Shinko said. “Any undergrad who is thinking of getting a master’s in art should go see this event.”

The reception will be held in the School of Art Gallery room of the Art Building from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
