Suede, a Kent State alumnus and former “Project Runway” contestant, will make an appearance on the Kent State University campus Saturday.

Suede will introduce his new SUEDEsays line of fabrics and patterns with a free fashion show Saturday in Rockwell Hall Auditorium at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Suede will introduce his new line with 15 exclusive runway looks. The fashion show, presented in conjunction with Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores, Simplicity, the Fashion School at Kent State and Springs Creative, will include 15 models, 11 of which will be Kent State students. The Kent State Fashion Student Organization will assist in production.

“We found Kent State students that fit perfectly into Suede’s garments as well as hair and make-up people,” Sarah Pohan, junior fashion merchandising major and project manager for the Fashion Student Organization said.

The event will include a free meet and greet between show times. Suede also will appear at the Hudson Jo-Ann store at 5381 Darrow Rd. on Friday, Feb. 1, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
