Second Event in the Say What?*&! Dialogue Series

Kent State University will continue its Say What?! Dialogue Series Wednesday with a program called “That’s my N!@@*.”

The idea behind the series is to encourage students to challenge some of the things they say in their daily speech. This session will focus on race and ethnicity and the origin of common slang terms.

Shana Lee, director of the Student Multicultural Center, and Trinidy Jeter, program coordinator of the SMC, will facilitate the discussion.

Roxie Patton, program coordinator for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Queer and Transgender Center, is playing an active role in the planning of the series.

“I think it’s going to be a fun series,” she said. “I think students are going to be in for a little bit of a shock.”

Patton said this is the second of a total of six events in the series, which is sponsored by the Women’s Center, LGBTQ Center, SMC and the Office of Health Promotion.

The event will be from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in room 206 of the Kent Student Center. For more information, contact Roxie Patton at 330-672-8580 or [email protected].
