Scholarship program aims to increase number of science, math teachers
Ten $15,000 scholarships have been made available for undergraduate students who plan to obtain a one-year master’s degree in teaching, according to an eInside story released by the university.
Scholarships from the Kent State University Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program will only be given to math or science majors who are not already education majors.
The deadline for applications is March 15, but they will be accepted until 10 scholarships have been awarded.
The scholarships were developed in an attempt to increase the number of math and science teachers for middle schools and high schools.
