Fraternities Sigma Phi Epsilon and Alpha Epsilon Pi are joining together to present the first ever Greek Fest at JB’s Concert Club in Kent Thursday, April 25, from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. to raise money for the Akron Humane Society.“All proceeds will benefit the Akron Human Society to help them pay for food, veterinary bills and other housing costs for the sheltered animals,” said Andrew Hollern, senior exercise science major and vice president of communications for Sigma Phi Epsilon.Ricky Bortz, junior business management major and member of Sigma Phi Epsilon, said tickets went on sale last week and will be on sale up until the day of the event for $5. Tickets can also be purchased at the door of JB’s for $10 the evening of the event.“How it works is the evening starts out with a red-carpet walk like the Grammys or a night club theme,” Bortz said. “Photographers will be snapping photos of the people as they walk by. After that, it’s pretty much just have fun, hang out and do what you want.
