Faculty will receive discounts at area businesses Friday, April 19 as part of Faculty Appreciation Week.

“The university reached out to the Kent community to offer discounts to our faculty members,” said Lashonda Taylor, university ceremonies and academic events manager.

Dino Palmieri Salon will offer a 30 percent discount off a shampoo, cut and finish service. Logos Bookstore will offer a 25 percent discount. Kent Cycle, Laziza, UniversiTEES and the Kent State Bookstore will offer 20 percent discounts. Carnaby Street Style will offer a 10 percent discount, and The Rusty Nail will also offer a 10 percent discount, along with a coupon for $5 off a Mother’s Day Brunch. Bent Tree Coffee will offer a free cup of coffee with a 1 pound purchase. The Bistro on Main Street will offer a free appetizer with the purchase of two lunch or dinner entrees.
