In honor of Banned Books Week, Popped! will donate 10 percent of in-store sales to the American Library Association now through Sunday.

“Popped’s owner was very enthusiastic about the idea of celebrating banned books along with her popcorn; she especially liked the idea of having banned books in the shop during the week,” Emily Schubeler of the ALA said.

Popped! is located at 175 E. Erie St., Suite 201 in Acorn Alley. Anyone who can’t make it downtown this weekend can make a purchase online at http://shoppopped.com using the code ALSSO2013. 15 percent of online purchases will be donated to ALA. Popped! ships both nationally and internationally.

This fundraiser will support community outreach efforts such as Children’s Story Time as well as helping fund the Masters of Library and Information Science students.
