The registration deadline to vote in the November general election is Monday, Oct.7, at 9 p.m. Those looking to register can complete an online form on the Portage County Board of Election’s webpage. Interested voters can also register at the Kent State Library.

The ballot for the November 5 election includes more than 15 tax levies, an income tax increase for Kent and two charter amendments, among others for Portage County citizens to vote on.

Absentee voting for the general election began October 1 and will continue through November 1. A complete listing of times the absentee office is open can be found on the Portage County Board of Elections’ website.
