‘The Addams Family’ to premiere at Tuscarawas campus Tuesday
Phoenix Entertainment brings the musical “The Addams Family” to the Performing Arts Center at Kent State Tuscarawas on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The show, written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, is directed by Tony-Award winner Jerry Zaks, according to the Kent State website. It is based off of the characters created in 1938 by Charles Addams.
The musical tells the story of Wednesday Addams and her decision to tell her father about her love for a boy her parents have never met. When the boy comes to the Addams’ home for dinner to meet Wednesday’s family, their plans go by the wayside.
Mix 94.1 and News-Talk 1480 are sponsoring the musical comedy. Both showings begin at 7:30 p.m., and tickets range from $48 to $70.
