This movie is a classic action film. Produced in 1981 and set in 1936, “Raiders of the Lost Ark” revolves around Indiana Jones, an archeologist who also serves as a professor at Marshall College. He’s on a quest to find the Ark of the Covenant before the Nazis, who are trying to make their armies invincible.

There’s stellar casting, with stars Harrison Ford and Karen Allen, a classic plot line (who doesn’t want to watch some Nazis meet their maker?), and memorable lines such as, “Why’d it have to be snakes?”

It’s the first installment of the Indiana Jones franchise and is by far the best of the four. While the addition of Sean Connery in “Last Crusade” did help to resuscitate the series after the downfall that was “Temple of Doom,” there is just no beating the original.
