Board of Trustees to have special meeting Wednesday
Kent State’s Board of Trustees will have a special meeting Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Rockwell Hall Atrium.
The board said in a press release it will meet to consider matters related to the employment of a public employee or official. It met Dec. 4 and 16 in executive session to consider matters of employment.
The board tasked a presidential search committee this summer to recommend candidates to be Kent State’s next president. The search committee had its last of five meetings Dec. 2.
Lester Lefton announced his retirement last April. He will stay at Kent State until his contract ends July 1, 2014.
Kent State spokesman Eric Mansfield said a press conference will follow Wednesday’s meeting.
