Kent Campus to close Monday afternoon, Tuesday

Kent State announced Monday afternoon that all classes at the main Kent campus that day after 3 p.m. are canceled, and all classes Tuesday are canceled. The campus will reopen at midnight going into Wednesday.

Essential employees are supposed to check with a supervisor, the Flash Alert said.

The campus is closing because of very cold weather expected for Monday and Tuesday.

Here is a complete list of the other Kent State campuses that are closed, according to Kent State:

  • Ashtabula Campus closed starting at 5 p.m. (Jan. 27) and closed all day Tuesday, Jan. 28 due to weather. (Updated 1:00 p.m.)
