Bar 145
In a city with a new restaurant popping up in the downtown area every few months, it can be a challenge to find a place that rises above the rest. Bar 145 is stands out.
Offering a range of food from truffle fries to a build-your-own burger option, this restaurant puts a new spin on your typical burger joint. The environment is pleasant as well.
“It’s definitely a place to go if you want to get pumped up and put in a good mood,” said sophomore communication studies major Matt Fitzgerald. “There’s always great music playing, activities and live bands.”
From the unique menu items that include an Apple Pie Burger to the entertainment, Bar 145 stands as one of the best restaurants in the city of Kent.
Taco Tonto’s
Good Mexican food outside of chains such as Taco Bell and Chipotle can be hard to come by. Luckily for Kent, Taco Tonto’s reigns in as one of the best restaurants in the city. Taco Tonto’s comes in third place, standing out with their variety and cozy atmosphere.
“My favorite thing is the menu,” junior communication studies major Kara Curry said. “I like the options, and I like how there are different size options, as well. You can get meat or vegetarian burritos in different sizes, or different sizes of chips and guacamole.”
The restaurant also has a “take and bake” option, where you can refrigerate your food and cook it at a later time. It’s the little things that put Taco Tonto’s in the top three for best restaurants in Kent.
