Kirsten Beverley is a physical education instructor who overcame a battle with breast cancer, teaching her students not only how to get in shape, but also about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

At the age of 20, she was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer as a junior public relations major at Kent State. She is now healthier and stronger than ever, teaching fitness courses at Kent State and instructing full time at Crossfit Cadre in Hudson, Ohio.
