This summer and fall, the Daily Kent Stater will be emphasizing its web and app presence to better reach the student body. We will be printing less often and focusing more on KentWired.com.

This summer, the Stater will be going digital. For the first time, student news and entertainment features will be delivered on the Web only. We are planning on producing only one print edition, the Orientation Issue, at the beginning of Fall 2014.

In the meantime, students, faculty and staff can get campus news coverage from KentWired.com, the converged website for the Daily Kent Stater and TV2. Reporters will be on campus producing regular content — relevant news stories, interesting features, photography and multimedia pieces — for the website.

Readers and followers can look forward to seeing plenty of content this summer: We will have continued coverage of the presidential search controversy; Beverly Warren, the president-elect for Kent State, will be taking office on July 1; arts and entertainment news for downtown Kent will raise awareness of events for students; updates on campus construction projects and anything else that happens here on campus will keep students on and off campus current on Kent State news.

This fall, the Daily Kent Stater will continue to emphasize digital content.

We are uncertain about our printing schedule. However, like this summer, you will be able to find content on KentWired.com 24 hours a day.
