Former assistant football coach Mahoney to retire in August
After 28 years of employment at Kent State, Peter Mahoney, special coordinator for the Center for Student Involvement, will begin his retirement on Aug. 1.
Mahoney said he began working for Kent State in July 1986 as the assistant football coach for Kent State’s Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. As the special coordinator, Mahoney has been responsible for oversight of University/City relations, court ordered community service and FLASHperks.
Todd Kamenash, currently the director of Office of Student Conduct, will take over Mahoney’s position starting in August. Kamenash will also continue to serve as the Director of Office of Student Conduct.
