Dogs Days of Summer coming in August

The Kent State University Alumni Association will host Dog Days of Summer, an alumni dog walk, Aug. 2 at Kent State’s main campus. The walk will begin at the Student Green outside the Student Center.

Joy Wesoloski, assistant director for Alumni Relations, said this is a great event to bring the whole family to. She said it is only $5 per dog, not per person, so you can bring your whole family with you.

The fee covers snacks for people and dogs, water for dogs along the walk and a gift. The walk concludes with a special presentation to all dogs in attendance.

Wesoloski said the walk will be 1.5 miles on the campus and be two hours from 10 a.m. to noon There is also a waiver each pet owner must download, sign and bring to registration.

“To come to an event it is usually more expensive than just paying a fee, you have to sometime get babysitters or leave pets at home,” Wesoloski said. “This event’s a great way to include every member of your family, including your furry friends.”

The deadline to register is July 25. Visiting the event page at http://www.ksualumni.org/ for more information.
