Weight management class aims to improve Kent community health
An eight-week weight management class will begin Aug. 25 in Nixson Hall. Tanya Falcone, adult nutrition counselor for the Center of Nutrition Outreach, will be instructor of the first ever class, which will be held in room 102 at 7 p.m.
“We will typically provide a healthy snack that will be prepared for them, they will get the recipe for it, and there will be a new topic each week,” Falcone said.
The program will be held every Monday from Aug. 25 to Oct. 13. The cost is five dollars each session or 25 dollars paid-in-full for all eight sessions and is open to community members, students, and faculty.
