A visitation, funeral and reception for Bitsko are scheduled for Sunday and Monday this week. Calling hours will be 1-8 p.m. Sunday at the St. Peter Catholic Church Family Center Gymnasium at 6161 Chambersburg Road in Huber Heights.

A funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Monday in the church’s sanctuary. Following the service, burial will be at the Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. A reception will also be held at the Huber Heights Athletic Center (5367 Fishburg Road) following burial.

Aaron Chimenti, Kent State’s assistant director of athletic communications, confirmed that the team will make the excursion to Dayton, Ohio, Monday to attend the funeral service.

The Jason Bitsko Memorial Fund has been established to support the Kent State Fellowship of Christian Athletes, according to the Dayton Daily News.
