Kent State alumna honored with ‘30 for the Future’ award
Danielle Hupp, assistant director of Annual Giving and a Kent State alumna, was honored with the “30 for the Future” award presented by the Greater Akron Chamber on Sept. 11.
According to the chamber, the award is given to 30 people under the age of 40 who have gone above and beyond in serving their communities.
“I was so proud to be a part of such a great group of professionals,” Hupp said. “I always want to be out there helping my community.”
The award ceremony was held at the Galaxy Restaurant in Wadsworth, Ohio, where Hupp, along with 29 other recipients, was given personalized, engraved, multicolored fused glass awards handcrafted by Cleveland’s Streets of Manhattan.
Hupp received both her bachelor’s degree in public relations and Master of public administration in nonprofit management from Kent State.
Hupp has worked with many nonprofit organizations, including the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, Ronald McDonald House of Akron and The LeBron James Family Foundation. She currently serves as president-elect of the Association of Fundraising Professionals North Central Ohio chapter.
“I will always want to be out in the community and helping, whether I get recognition or not,” Hupp said. “I am going to keep making a difference.”
