Kent State Knit-a-thon

Knitting for Those in Need, a student organization on Kent campus, will hold its biannual Knit-a-thon on the fourth floor of the library this Friday, Nov. 14.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. and continue throughout the day until 9 p.m. The focus of the event is to bring awareness to all the people in need in the Kent community.

“We do have people within our community and even on campus, who benefit from warm hats and scarves,” said DJ Smith, Knitting for Those in Need Vice President and junior business management major.

All items completed during the Knit-a-thon will be donated to different organizations that will distribute the hats and scarves accordingly.

“Ultimately, you get to serve people who may not have anyone else looking out for them,” said Smith.

All are welcome and no previous knitting experience needed. Refreshments will be provided throughout the day.
