Kevin Hart sells out in less than three hours

Kevin Hart arrives for a premiere of “Soul Plane” on Monday, May 17, 2004, in Los Angeles, California.

The Undergraduate Student Government set a record Wednesday, selling out of tickets to see comedian Kevin Hart in less than three hours.

For the first time this year, all 4,300 seats of the M.A.C. center sold out for a USG event.

The stand-up comedian will be giving a special performance to Kent State on Dec. 6.

“It has been my goal to sell out,” said Kevin Otubu, the director of programming for USG. “I knew it was going to to happen.”

Kevin Hart, the stand-up comedian and actor, has put together a special performance that is only for college campuses.

“I’m very excited for the students and for the performance Kevin Hart has put together,” said Marvin Logan, executive director of USG.

Otubu said he was looking for a well-known comedian for a good price, and Kevin Hart’s college tour fit into the USG budget.

Kent will be one of Hart’s last stops on his college tour.

“He wanted students to be able to see him and be able to reach out to students,” Otubu said.
