The “If It Were 60° Warmer and I had a Convertible” Playlist

	“Hey Now” -Matt and Kim This is only the second single off Matt and Kim’s upcoming album, and I can’t wait to hear the rest. The bass drum and trombone in this song really make it what it is. Whimsical and catchy, this song is a fantastic jam to dance to (check out the music video for proof). Matt and Kim are known for their light indie pop melodies and lyrics that are vaguely like something your first boyfriend or girlfriend would say to you, but in a charming and lighthearted way that just might make you pull over to the side of the road and full-out dance.
	“Sugar” – Maroon 5 Maroon 5 has been writing about love and girls basically ever since their first album, “Songs About Jane.” Even if their style has changed a little, “Sugar” sticks with the same theme. From the album “V,” this song captures the essence of funk from the past mixed with Maroon 5’s current “Animal” era. Adam Levine’s falsetto is amazing as always and is perfect to sing along to (even if you can’t quite hit the same high notes).
	“Lips are Movin’ ” – Meghan Trainor Coming from the songstress who’s known for her sassy anthems about loving yourself and finding someone who treats you right, Meghan Trainor’s “Lips are Movin’” is perfect for those times when you just need to drive. It’s both upbeat and empowering, much like her other songs. Basically if you’re trying to tell someone off nicely, or if you just need to blow off some steam, you can do so to this catchy song.
	“Shut Up and Dance” – Walk The Moon Walk the Moon is a Cincinnati-based band that became an MTV sensation. “Shut Up and Dance” is a lot different than their first hit “Anna Sun,” but still has that same driving rhythm to it. Every time I hear this song, I think of music festivals and summer. The lyrics combined with the aforementioned rhythm might be motivating enough to go and ask the person you’ve always wanted to, to dance.
	“Uptown Funk” – Mark Ronson Feat. Bruno Mars No list is complete without this song. So far, “Uptown Funk” has been the song this winter, and it doesn’t seem like it’s going to stop anytime soon. Bruno basically comes back as a futuristic Michael Jackson or Stevie Wonder type, and it’s hard to not move (in some way, shape or form) whenever this song comes on. Plus the line: “Don’t believe me, just watch” is perfect for screaming in the car, parties, bars or basically any time someone doubts you.
