It was a memorable week for three players on the Kent State Men’s Basketball Team. The Mid-American Conference announced Monday that sophomore Jimmy Hall, and seniors Devareaux Manley and Kris Brewer were recognized on the 2015 All-MAC teams.

Redshirt forward Jimmy Hall was named to the First Team, guard Devareaux Manley was named to the Second Team and guard Kris Brewer was an honorable mention selection. The 12 head coaches in the conference voted for their selections following the conclusion of the season last Friday.

“I’m really happy that Jimmy, Devareaux and Kris all received all-conference honors,” coach Rob Senderoff said in a Kent State Athletics press release. “Having three players recognized by the coaches in this league really speaks to the success that our entire team was able to achieve this season.”

Hall made a big impact during the season for the Flashes. He is the first Kent State sophomore to achieve All-MAC First Team honors in almost 40 years. Manley helped the Flashes stay in conference contention by averaging 18.8 points per game when Hall was sidelined with mononucleosis for five games at the beginning of February.

Finally, Brewer is an All-MAC honorable mention selection for the second consecutive season. For the final week of the regular season, he was named MAC East Division Player of the Week after averaging 20.5 points per game and shooting 8-for-10 from the three-point line in Kent state’s wins against both Akron and Bowling Green.

Kent State starts the 2015 MAC Men’s Basketball Tournament at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland with a quarterfinal game on Thursday night at 9 p.m.
