The Kent Police Department is investigating a homicide at Lincolnwood Terrace Apartments.

Resident Franklin Benedict, 26, was found dead from gunshot wounds at 12:23 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8.

Kent Police requested assistance from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and the investigation is ongoing.

According to his Facebook page, Benedict was from Ashtabula and worked at Wal-Mart.

Lincolnwood Terrace is off of South Lincoln Street past Summit Street.
