Campus housing available for winter break
Students are now able to fill out an application to allow them to live on campus over the winter holiday break.
When the campus closes Dec. 18 at 7 p.m., students need to be out of their dorms unless they have applied for winter housing. There is a select list of dorms available for winter break.
“The break residence halls will be Beall, Clark, Centennial Court C and D, Engleman, Koonce, Leebrick, McDowell and Wright halls,” said Daniel Shonk, assistant director for assignments and marketing of residence services.
There are no guarantees that students who submit an application will actually be given a room for winter break, but the priority submission date is Dec. 1 at 5 p.m.
Shonk said housing assignments will be made based off of available space, submission date and various student needs.
It will cost students $35 each night to stay in the dorms, and the application can be found on Kent State’s housing website.
