Jon Stewart extended his hand and flipped off retirement. Not really, but the the former “Daily Show” host did sign a four-year contract with HBO just in time for election coverage. While Stewart isn’t returning to Comedy Central, partnering with a new network to create short-form digital content means viewers can expect to receive high quality, hilarious content from two sources now.

“Appearing on television 22 minutes a night clearly broke me,” Stewart said in a press release. “I’m pretty sure I can produce a few minutes of content every now and again.”

We’re content with this. Stewart is better than no Stewart, after all, even if it’s in shorter doses. We couldn’t imagine this election without you, Jon.
