CAED to host design fair in Student Center

The College of Architecture and Environmental Design will be hosting a design fair from 1-4 p.m. on Friday in the Kent Student Center Ballroom.

Marti Ring, the director of advancement, said there will be 62 different firms attending.

“The purpose is for these professionals to possibly look for interns here at Kent,” Ring said. “We had one firm that said they weren’t looking for any interns but came anyway, later they told us they picked up three interns because they were impressed with their work.”

Some of the firms in attendance are from Boston and Los Angeles Ring added.

According to Ring, the fair is a chance for architecture, interior design and environmental design students to interact with professionals and have a chance to show their portfolio.
