Players bounce back, men’s golf finishes twelfth
Kent State came in 12th place at the Valspar Collegiate Invitational Tuesday.
Freshman Gisli Sveinbergsson led the team and finished his third round with a score of two over par. He ended his day placing 25th overall.
Junior Tyler McHugh had a rough second round Monday, but was able to come back shooting two over on his final round in Florida.
Sophomore Chase Johnson finished in 45th overall, while junior Josh Whalen had the best score of the day shooting one over par and tied for 36th place.
The team will remain in Florida to practice and will return to Kent this weekend.
