Voters head to the polls for Super Tuesday

Twelve states held primaries and caucuses for ‘Super Tuesday.’ 

Today marked the 2016 Super Tuesday.

This year, the Republican candidates are battling for nearly 620 delegates, while the Democratic candidates are battling for close to 800. Whoever gets the most amount of delegate votes could receive the nomination.

Donald Trump (R) and Hillary Clinton (D) are currently the front-runners for both parties. However, Trump is sitting three percent behind Clinton in the general election polls.
