Art Under the Microscope exhibition opens Wednesday

Luminous Forms: Art Under the Microscope, an exhibition created by School of Art assistant professor Davin Ebanks, will be featured in Kent’s downtown gallery opening Wednesday. The gallery will host a reception from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday.

The exhibition features the most current work by Ebanks, and is a solo exhibition. The art in the show is reimagined foraminifera, meaning tiny single-celled organisms, according to his website.

Ebanks is a Caymanian artist who was recently named the recipient of the 2016 Silver Heritage Cross by the Cayman National Cultural Foundation.

The award winning artist’s exhibition will be displayed until April 16.
