Part of East Main St. closed Monday evening after a driver lost control of his car and crashed into a road sign, spinning out of control into the safety barricade and crosswalk across from Burger King. 

One witness called police and approached the car where she said she could see the driver was unconscious and seizing. 

Kent Police said the driver was the only person in the car and no one else was harmed in the crash. The driver did regain consciousness but was unsure of where he was, said Police. Responders took the man out of the car in a neck brace and stretcher. He is currently in stable condition.
