Kent Police detectives are investigating the death of a 23-year-old Kent resident found along the Cuyahoga River at Haymaker parkway around 7 a.m. Sunday.

An Ohio State Highway Patrol officer found Daniel Harwood’s body while responding to an unrelated incident. The Portage County Coroner’s Office is also investigating the death.

Harwood was a recent student at Kent State, but is no longer enrolled.

The investigation is ongoing.
