Kid Cudi wears Kent shirt in new music video

Kid Cudi sports his Kent shirt while dancing in his new “Surfin'” music video. Cudi performed at Kent State in 2010.

Kid Cudi apparently prefers making his own waves dressed in Kent gear.

The rapper is seen sporting a T-shirt with “Kent” plastered in white block lettering throughout his “Surfin’” music video, released Monday.

Dancing along to the Pharrell Williams-assisted new single from his upcoming album “Passion, Pain, & Demon Slayin’,” Cudi clearly displays his Kent attire while singing “I ain’t ridin’ no waves / Too busy makin’ my own waves.”

Other big names join Cudi for the video, including rapper A$AP Rocky and Will Smith spawn Willow and Jaden Smith.

Kid Cudi performed at the M.A.C. Center in 2010 along with Gorilla Zoe and Chip tha Ripper—also present in the “Surfin’” video.

Cudi made news several weeks ago when he opened up to fans on Facebook, revealing that he checked himself into rehab for “depression and suicidal urges.”

“I am not at peace,” he wrote in the Oct. 4 post. “I haven’t been since you’ve known me. If I didn’t come here, I would’ve done something to myself. I simply am a damaged human swimming in a pool of emotions everyday of my life.”

Kid Cudi isn’t the only former Kent State performer known for donning Kent apparel; comedian Amy Schumer was spotted in a Golden Flashes top months after her show last fall.
