Kent Police seeking suspects after Safeway robbery

The Kent Police Department is investigating a robbery that took place Tuesday afternoon at Safeway on Franklin Avenue.

Three suspects reportedly entered the grocery store with a firearm and took an undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes, according to a media release released by Kent Police Wednesday. The offenders fled the scene and have yet to be located.

The suspects were described as wearing dark-colored jackets and a red hoodie. No arrests have been made as of Wednesday, according to Kent Police Lt. Michael Lewis.
