Ever wondered what life in Syria is like? UNICEF KSU is partnering with The Syrian American Medical Society to host a “Crisis in Syria Simulation” event, providing an interactive glance into the lives of Syrian children.

The simulation will be held next Tuesday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Kent State Student Center in room 315.

According to UNICEF, Syrians are facing the largest humanitarian crisis in the world and almost 5 million Syrians are registered as refugees. The event aims to give students, faculty and community members a better perspective of what life is like in Syria.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to UNICEF’s efforts to help Syrians in need. Proceeds will also benefit the Karam Foundation, an organization that is dedicated to helping young Syrians receive an education.

The Karam Foundation also provides scholarships for refugee students and provides safe learning environments for students.

UNICEF KSU holds meetings and events throughout the school year, advocating and fundraising for children around the world.
