March for Science calls for action
In more than 600 cities across the globe on Saturday, advocates gathered for the first March for Science to express their support for all things science on the 40th anniversary of Earth Day.
From Washington, D.C., to Cleveland, staffers from The Kent Stater reported on the first-ever organized call for action and simultaneous protest against the proposed policies of President Donald Trump’s administration.
Amid continuous downfall peppering DC and an overcast sky hanging over Cleveland throughout the day, our staff captured the fight for evidence-based research, a recognition of the threat climate change represents and the need for lawmakers to leave the science to the scientist.
