Textile, charcoal, sculpture, oil painting — the “ARTshop” wants more art.

The shop sells student-made art pieces to the student body and the public, and is located off the Esplanade entrance to the Center for the Visual Arts.

Danny Likar, a worker at the shop, said as long as a student has a major or minor in art of some kind, artists can sell their work.

“The shop is fairly new, so not many students are aware of it,” Likar said. “The shortage is happening just because of that.”

Students must pick up a seller inventory sheet from the ARTshop in order to sell their work.

Students who work two hours a week at the shop will receive 100 percent of the profits made from the sales of their own pieces, while all other students receive 75 percent of the profits.

Students can visit the ARTshop to pick up their inventory sheets during open hours: Wednesday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
