Brimfest kicks off warm weekend
Despite steamy temperatures, people flocked outside for music, food and crafts at the 15th annual Brimfest.
Hosted by the Brimfield Area Chamber of Commerce, the festival has been growing in size and popularity since it first started in 2002.
“It used to be a Lions Club event with just rides and foods until the chamber of commerce took it over,” said Dee Palmer, a festival co-organizer.
The weekend was filled with a long schedule of events, ranging from a dog show to a chili cook-off. Fest-goers had the chance to visit vendor tables with items like jewelry, essential oils, henna tattoos and skin care as live music played in the background.
“It brings the community together and is great for families,” said Diana Cook, a vendor.
