Black United Students to hold meeting to discuss fund, organizational problems

Students, faculty and staff participate in a walkout Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, in response to Donald Trump’s election day victory becoming the 45th president of the United States.

Black United Students will hold an emergency meeting Wednesday.

The meeting will discuss problems involving the $50,000 grant they were given at the beginning of the semester through the university’s new Social-Cultural Programming Fund.

“We are apologizing for our recent track record in regards to our visibility, our professionalism and our accountability,” said Patrick Ferguson, treasurer of BUS.

The meeting is at 8 p.m. in the Oscar Ritchie lecture hall.
