Sigma Delta Tau to hold mock Jeopardy philanthropy event
Sigma Delta Tau will be holding their “Games for Good” philanthropy event in support of Prevent Child Abuse America. The event will be held Saturday, March 3 at 6 p.m. in Cartwright Hall. Doors will open at 5 p.m.
PCAA is a nonprofit organization that is committed to promoting services that improve child well-being and developing programs to prevent all types of abuse and neglect. All proceeds from the event will be donated on behalf of Sigma Delta Tau at Kent State University.
“The PCAA is an organization that benefits children all over the United States,” said Julia Pharmer, a member of Sigma Delta Tau. “I’m excited to see students come together to contribute to an organization that can benefit anyone.”
At the event, each Greek organization will participate in a game of Jeopardy while being coached by a member of Sigma Delta Tau.
SDT’s goal for the event is to beat last year’s fundraising total of $22,000. They hope to achieve this by combining ticket and t-shirt sales, donations and fundraising contributions.
All students, in Greek life or not, are encouraged to attend the event and raise awareness for the charities.
Tickets are on presale for $7 and can be purchased this week on the second floor of the Kent Student Center from members of Sigma Delta Tau. Tickets at the event will be sold for $10.
