Newest member joins Kent State University Board of Trustees

Ohio Gov. John Kasich appointed Rev. Dr. Todd C. Davidson Sr. to the Kent State University Board of Trustees.

Davidson, the senior pastor of Antioch Baptist Church in Cleveland, will be filling the seat of former trustee member trustee Lawrence Pollock whose term expired earlier this year.

He currently serves on the board of Community Connectors, a statewide initiative led by Gov. Kasich that focuses on higher levels of educational achievement and general health and well-being.

Out of the 13 members serving on the board of trustees at Kent State, nine of them were appointed by the governor of Ohio, each serving nine-year terms.

In a press release from the university, Ralph M. Della Ratta, chair of the Kent State Board of Trustees commented, “His previous board experience, combined with his commitment to connecting the community with higher education and workforce readiness, will be a tremendous asset to the Board.”

Davidson began his term on June 13, 2018, and will serve on the board of trustees until May 16, 2027.
