A Rootstown man was arrested Saturday for allegedly burglarizing two apartments and fondling a woman at the University Townhomes complex.

Roger Tooley, 42, was charged with burglary and sexual imposition.

In a press release, Kent Police said they responded to a phone call made by a woman who reported a strange man standing in her bedroom doorway. Police said Tooley allegedly fled from the apartment, but officers were able to quickly detain him.

Other officers at the scene learned that earlier, the same man entered a second apartment in University Townhomes, where police said he fondled a woman while she was sleeping. He fled when she woke up.

Tooley appeared in Kent Municipal Court Monday. He is being held without bond.
