Shots were fired at Bar Lucci in downtown Kent, Thursday night and police are still investigating the incident.

According to a press release from the Kent Police Department, while the bar staff was working to clear the bar, a fight started. During the fight, a male brandished a handgun and fired a shot.

A nearby officer who was already responding to the bar arrived at the scene after hearing the gunshots. Shortly after, more officers arrived on scene and the location was secured. 

The suspect has been identified as Akron resident Jack Massie. The 19-year-old is charged with felonious assault and is awaiting prosecution. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Kent Police Department at 330-673-7732.
