After the Monday, Oct. 9 Canvas and Amazon Web Services outage, the Division of Information and Technology updated students that the services have resumed normal function.
At 7:34 p.m., students and faculty received an email informing them that Amazon Web Services’ global issues were resolved and engineers are continuing to monitor these systems.
According to Downdetector, a website that collects user-submitted reports on internet disruptions, about 9,624 users reported Amazon Web Services outages earlier on Oct. 9.
With this update, services like Canvas are now available for students and professors to use.
