After experiencing a power outage the morning of Sept. 23, First Energy restored power to Kent State’s campus at 2:48 p.m.
In an email, Eric Mansfield, executive director of university media relations, said power has been restored to all buildings and should be operating normally.
The HVAC systems may take longer to “restore interior temperatures to set points,” he added.
The university is expected to resume normal operations tomorrow, and in-person classes will be held again, as well.
There are only 102 out of the 13,586 Kent residents who are First Energy customers still experiencing a power outage, but those residents can anticipate their power being restored by 6 p.m.
