A group of Kent State alumni filled over 2,000 “Birdie Bags” at the Ben Curtis Foundation as a part of Flashes Give Back Week.
Made for local kids who may not have access to a stable food source over the weekend, the Birdie Bags are filled with six meals and four snacks. This food distribution during the school year feeds over 6,000 children across 14 districts each month.
This is just one instance of the alumni community service efforts happening this week. Across the country, over 1,200 alumni are registered to volunteer at 55 locations.
