On Feb. 28, Black United Students hosted an event celebrating African-American culture.
The “B Us” celebration will run from 4:00 p.m. to 12:15 a.m., with activities such as spoken word and griot storytelling, seminars and discussions and a performance from the K.S.U. Gospel Choir, per the event’s flyer.
KSTV’s Matt Kiraly talked to members of the organization about why it’s important to celebrate this now, and how crucial representation is in your community.
