Ever since A&J Ramen Spot opened its doors on Nov. 4 of last year, it’s been attracting local residents with its large menu and bold flavors.
The new restaurant’s menu offers a variety of options for appetizers, desserts, boba tea and, of course, ramen. Located in downtown Kent next to Barrio Tacos and Panini’s, the inside of A&J Ramen offers plenty of seating.
Some locals, like Veronica Guzman, are excited about the new ramen spot. Guzman said she was even surprised that their menu also offered chicken wings with a variety of sauces.
“This was my first time here, and I will definitely be back,” she said.
The restaurant has a 4.4/5 average review rating on Google, and is working on building a customer base. While they don’t accept KSU Downtown Dining Dollars, they hope to draw in students with their menu.
“I like the service.” another local customer said. “Someone I know put [A&J Ramen Spot] on their Snapchat story.”
They have a mixture of meat, seafood, vegetarian and vegan options. To satisfy their sweet tooth, customers can also top off their bowl of ramen or bento box with a variety of dessert options, including mochi, fried bananas and tiramisu, among other treats. The restaurant’s boba tea menu also offers some creative options that may not be available at local competitors with interesting flavors such as grape slush, avocado mango and Snow White jasmine tea with pecans.
Additional information regarding online ordering, menu item pictures and hours of operation are available on A&J Ramen’s website.
